This was my first time there art the park and it was magnificent. It has adequate parking, sitting areas, and restrooms. The trails were nice and clean. I was beyond amazed at the beauty of it all. They also throughout the year have events for families. Lovely lovely place.

My mom and I stopped to revisit this park on the way to another park where we would camp for the weekend. We really like this little park and were surprised to see a lot changes since we had been there last. I'm excited to come camp during the spring with the new lake and activities. We mainly stopped to stamp our passport books since we forgot last time. The slender older lady in the office was rude, and almost took our books right out of our hands. I guess we weren't finding the correct page fast enough. She was not friendly, did not engage in conversation and simply asked, "Do you need anything else?" before heading straight back to the office again. We felt unwelcome and left and I loudly apologized for being such an inconvenience. Usually everyone is so friendly and happy to answer questions and chat. This time we felt like a major hassle. Yikes!

What a glorious place to behold! In eastern NC taboot!!!! This is an oasis away from the flat land of the coastal area. Go now and get your passport stamped! Enjoy this gorgeous state we live in. And dogs love it there.

This place is amazing. It is not far from Jacksonville and is just a beautiful place to visit. Not only is there multiple nature trails you can take but there is also a place to swim and multiple places to go to fish. When I was here I sadly forgot my fishing pole, but the fish were jumping out of the water. And it was just a quiet and quaint place to be. I'm addition there is bathrooms at the main portion and a place to picnic.

Really cool park. Nice trails with great views. I really liked the views from the bird viewing trail. The cliff is a good photo op. The visitor center seems pretty new and has some interactive and interesting information about the cliffs. I would recommend checking that out before viewing the cliffs to get a better appreciation of the cliffs. The lake was also nice to swim in after a hike not a muddy floor like some lakes. Only downside was all the gnats flying in your face.
